Pre-Operative Instructions

The day before your oral surgery, start taking the antibiotics and steroids that have been prescribed to you. Bring your sedation medication with you to the appointment. Do not wait until after the oral surgery to fill your medications.

The night before your oral surgery, have a nutritious and filling meal. The day of your oral surgery, eat a light breakfast or lunch. If you are having IV Sedation, do not eat six hours before your appointment.

Follow any changes to your regular medication that your medical doctor has advised for this surgery.

It is required for you to have a responsible adult drive you to and from your oral surgery appointment. He or she will be asked to remain at the office during your surgery. If your driver needs to leave, he or she will need our office consent and must leave a cell phone number where he or she can be reached immediately.
